How to Import Products into the Products Catalog

The Products Catalog in EasyChannel is your central hub for managing products across multiple sales channels. This guide will walk you through importing your products, including the automatic import process and manual import options.


Automatic Product Import

When you connect a store to EasyChannel, the system will automatically:

  1. Start Importing Products

    • Products from your connected store (eBay, Amazon, Etsy, WooCommerce, etc.) will begin importing into the Products Catalog.

  2. Map Categories Automatically

    • Categories from your store will be matched to EasyChannel categories using AI-powered tools, ensuring proper organization.

  3. Preserve Existing Data

    • No immediate changes are made to your product data, giving you full control over adjustments later.

This automatic import prepares your products for cross-listing and multi-channel management without requiring manual input.


Manual Import (Optional)

If you need to re-import products or customize the import process, you can manually import products.

Step 1: Access the Products Catalog

  • Navigate to the Products Catalog from the left-side menu on the EasyChannel dashboard.

Step 2: Start the Import Process

  • Click on Import Products at the top of the page.

Step 3: Select Import from Channel

  • Choose Import from Channel and select the desired store (e.g., eBay, Amazon, Etsy).

Step 4: Configure Import Settings

  • Matching Parameters:

    • By default, products are matched by SKU, but you can also match using other identifiers such as Title.

  • Update Existing Products:

    • Enable the option to update existing products with new product data to refresh details like stock levels, descriptions, or images.

Step 5: Start the Import

  • Click Import to fetch your products.

  • Once the process is complete, your products will appear in the Products Catalog, ready for further management.


Import and Create New Products From CSV

  • The second method of importing products is by creating new products using a CSV file. To do this we will reach our Product Catalog by using the Products tab on the main menu.

  • Make sure you are in the All Products section of your Product Catalog.

  • Use the Import Products button in the upper right-hand corner of the workspace and choose Create New Product with CSV.

  • This brings up our Create a Product with CSV screen. The first thing we need to do is decide where our CSV file is coming from. Choose the option that matches the location of your file and find your CSV file.

  • The next section is the Mapping section. if you have presets, you can select your Mapping preset. If you do not have any presets, you must choose which fields to import and what field to map them to in your catalog. You must map the file so that the Matching Channel from CSV and EasyChannel Products Field match up to corresponding product fields .

  • Fields that you don't want transferred over can be marked Don't Import to be left with a blank value.

  • Once you are done mapping your product, click Start Import to begin importing your products. If you'd like to save your mapping options for future imports use the Save Mapping Presets button.
