Linked and Unlinked Listings in EasyChannel

What linked and unlinked listings mean in EasyChannel, how to link or unlink products from their channel listings in bulk, and what each one changes.

Written by Avi Assa

A listing on a channel can be linked to its product in your EasyChannel catalog, or unlinked. Linked listings follow the changes you make to the catalog product. Unlinked listings stay as they are.

In this article:

What is the difference between linked and unlinked?

The app explains it in the Link/Unlink Products window:

  • Link: “Changes made in EasyChannel product catalog will update all linked listings - according to the selected channel settings”.

  • Unlink: “Changes made in EasyChannel product catalog will not affect or update unlinked listings”.

Stock is the exception: “Inventory updates can be set to update linked and unlinked listings according to your channel settings”. See Inventory Sync Settings in EasyChannel Explained.

When you publish a product from the catalog, the listing is linked by default: Link listing is on under Advanced Settings in the publish window.

How do I link or unlink products from their listings?

  1. In Product Catalog, tick the products.

  2. Click Bulk Actions > Link/Unlink Products from Listings.

  3. Under Select Channels, pick the channel account.

  4. Click Link or Unlink.

The Link/Unlink Products window in EasyChannel with the channel picker and the Link and Unlink buttons.

⭐ If a ticked product has no listing on the selected channel, EasyChannel skips it.

Where can I see one product's listings?

Open the product (Edit Product), go to Variations and click Edit Listings. The Listing Settings window lists the product's listings with their Inventory, Template, Channel SKU and Linked Status.

FAQ

Do the Revise bulk actions update unlinked listings?

No. Revise Product Listings, Revise Listings Price and Revise Listings Inventory apply to the ticked products' linked listings. See How to Revise Listings in EasyChannel.

Why would I unlink a listing?

To keep a listing different from the catalog product, for example a channel-only title or price that catalog changes should not overwrite.
