Each product in your catalog belongs to one of your own product categories, like Gadgets or Home Decor. The Categories Mapper links each of your categories to a category on the channel, so EasyChannel knows which channel category the products in it belong to.

Where is the Categories Mapper?
Open the Product Catalog.
In the menu on the left, under Products Settings, click Categories Mapper.
At the top, under Select Channel, choose the channel and the marketplace, for example eBay and US. Each row is one of your categories. The last column shows the channel category it is mapped to.
Status | Meaning |
Green check | The category is mapped. |
Red X | The category is not mapped yet. |
To see only the categories that still need a mapping, turn on Show Missing Category Mapping. To find one category, use Search categories.
How do I create product categories?
Click + Create New Categories in the Categories Mapper. You can also click Create Categories on the Products Settings > Product Categories page.
Type the category name. To create several at once, separate the names with commas.
Click Create.
How do I map a category myself?
You have two ways. Open the category box in the row and pick a category, or search for one:
In the row, click the search icon (Search Category).
Open Search Categories, type what you sell, and press Enter. Recently Used Categories lists the categories you picked before.
Select the best match and click Choose Category.
The Status column turns into a green check.
How do I map categories with AI?
Tick the box next to each category you want to map.
Click AI and choose AI Auto Map.
Click Yes, continue.
When EasyChannel says your changes are done, click Refresh Table.
⭐ AI Auto Map does not change categories that are already mapped. To let AI map one of them again, remove its mapping first.
The AI menu also has AI Store Category Auto Map.
How do I remove a mapping?
Click the trash icon in the category's row (Remove this category for the current account). To map it again, use the search icon or AI Auto Map.
What can I do in bulk?
Tick several categories and open Bulk Actions. It has Change Category, Remove Primary Categories and Remove Store Categories.
FAQ
Why are Bulk Actions and AI greyed out?
No category is ticked. Tick at least one first.
Which categories still need a mapping?
Turn on Show Missing Category Mapping. The list then shows only the categories without a mapping.
