You list products on a marketplace by publishing them from your Product Catalog. EasyChannel sends each product to the channel you choose, using that channel's mapping template.
In this article:
What do I need before I publish?
A connected channel with an active token. See How to Connect Your Stores to EasyChannel.
Products in your Product Catalog. See How to Create a New Product in EasyChannel or How to Import Products into the Product Catalog.
Your catalog categories mapped to the channel's categories. See How to Map Categories for Accurate Cross-Listing.
How do I open the publish window?
Go to the Product Catalog.
Tick the box next to each product you want to list.
Click Publish To Channel. The Publish Products to Channel window opens and shows how many products you are publishing.
Under Channel, choose the store to list on.
Check the Mapping Template. It is required and controls how your product details are sent to the channel. If you just created a template and it is missing from the list, click Refresh.
⭐ On a trial account, a bulk action such as publishing works on 1 product at a time.
What are the Required Steps?
The first time you publish with a template, some channels ask for details the template does not have yet. For eBay, this is Set your products item location and package type:
Country
City, Region, for example Austin, TX
Postal Code
Click Save and Continue. EasyChannel saves these details into the mapping template, so you are not asked again. You can change them later in the eBay mapping template. If your products ship from different places, use dynamic fields in the template mapping. See Template Mapping Explained.
Which settings can I choose when I publish?
AI autofill missing fields
On by default. When a product is missing a field the channel requires, EasyChannel's AI fills it in. Check what was filled after you publish, because the AI picks a value for you.
Listing policies
For eBay, choose a Payment, Shipping and Returns policy. These are your eBay business policies. If you changed them on eBay, click Refresh.
Tick Use the policies saved in the catalog product to keep the policies a product already has. Products without saved policies get the ones you chose here.
Listing design template and schedule
Turn on Listing design template to wrap the description in one of your listing designs.
Turn on Schedule the publish to list later instead of now.
Advanced Settings
Setting | What it does |
Link listing to EasyChannel product catalog | On by default. Changes in your catalog keep updating the listing, based on the channel's settings. |
Set max quantity to | Shows at most this many units on the channel. See How to Use Up to Quantity. |
Publish with custom SKU | Uses the value of an attribute you pick as the listing's SKU instead of the product SKU. |
If the product is already on eBay
Skip it (default): the existing listing stays as it is. Nothing changes on eBay.
Update it: EasyChannel revises the eBay listing with your latest catalog data, whether the listing is linked or unlinked.
Publish
Publish as Live sends the products to the channel.
Edit Before Publish lets you change listing details before they go out.
Cancel closes the window without publishing.
The window remembers your settings for the next time you publish.
What happens after I publish?
Each product row in the catalog shows a badge for the channel it was sent to. When eBay accepts the listing, you manage it from Listings. See How to Manage Live Listings in EasyChannel.
If the channel rejects a product, the catalog shows Last bulk action was completed with 1 errors with a View Errors link.
To read the error, check exactly what was sent and fix it, see Listing Errors in EasyChannel: How to Find and Fix Them.
