Today we are going to be discussing the EasyChannel Inventory Management Tools and learning how to use these tools to add or edit inventory in our product catalog. For this article to be helpful you should already have your warehouse setup. If you have not added your warehouses yet, you can learn how to do that, here.
Reaching the Inventory Management Screen
First, we need to reach our Product Catalog. We do this by clicking the Products tab on the main menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
Then we want to navigate down to Inventory Management.
We've now reached our Inventory Management workspace.
Adding Products to your Inventory
To add a new product to a Warehouses Inventory, we need to first locate the product that we want to add from our list. Once we find the product, we can select the checkbox to the far left.
Then we go up top and select Inventory Update.
A pop-up will appear asking us to choose which Warehouse we want to add this product to and what quantity to add. Make your selection and then choose Update.
You may need to refresh the page to see the result, but the products will then be added to the selected Warehouse.
Editing Quantities in your Inventory
To edit a Product Quantity from an existing Warehouses Inventory, we need to first locate the product that we want to add from our list. Once we find the product, we can select the Pencil icon to open the Edit screen.
That will bring up the Edit screen. It shows the current quantity and what Warehouse it currently is in.
To change the quantity in a warehouse the product is currently stored in, just change the value in the On Hand field. This will update the quantity in that Warehouse.
To add a new warehouse, use the drop-down menu up top to select which Warehouse you want to add product to.
That will add the Warehouse to the list and then you just need to enter a value for the On Hand quantity to add product to that Warehouse.
Click Save when you are done to save your changes and exit.
