Not every sale goes according to plan. When something does go wrong, resolving the issue quickly and with minimal cost and aggravation to both you and the buyer can be the difference between a good or bad review. With EasyChannel's Order Manager you can quickly and easily Cancel Orders or Issue Refunds with just a few clicks and without having to login to your storefront. Let's learn how.
The Order Manager
To reach the Order Manager just click the Orders button in the main menu on the left-hand side of the screen, as pictured.
This is the screen where we will execute our Order Actions from.
Cancelling an Order
To cancel an order first locate the order in the main order screen. Then we want to locate the Lightning Icon in the Actions pane. We've marked it in red for the first order in our list in the image below.
When we click the icon, a menu will pop-up. We want to find Cancel Order in the menu and select it.
A pop-up will appear asking if you would like to blacklist the buyer from any connected apps. Make your selection, and then select Apply to finish the cancellation.
You should see a Success message in the lower right-hand corner telling you the order was successfully cancelled.
Issuing a Refund
To issue a refund, first go to the main orders screen by clicking on the Orders button using the main menu on the left-hand side of the screen, as pictured.
Next, locate the order you want to issue a refund for and locate the corresponding Lightning Icon in the Actions pane of the workspace. We've marked the icon in red for the first order in the image below.
From the menu select Issue Refund.
In the pop-up that results, select your reason for the refund along with the refund amount. When you are ready to issue the refund, click the blue Refund button to issue your refund and exit the pop-up.
