Setting up Email Forwarding/SMTP for EasyChannel

In this article we will you through setting up Email Forwarding for you EasyChannel platform.

Today, we'll guide you through the process of configuring email forwarding for EasyChannel, broken down into two parts: Email Forwarding and SMTP setup. We've tailored instructions for various major email clients to streamline your setup process.



Email Forwarding Setup

1. Navigate to the lower-left corner of your Dashboard, click on the Profile Icon, and select Integrations from the menu.

2. Locate and click on the Email Inbox icon within the Integrations screen.

3. In the upper-left corner, click Add Email Account.

4. A Support Email Popup will appear. Fill in your forwarding address in the Support Email field. The From Name field determines how your emails will appear to clients. Click Confirm.

5. You'll be directed to the Email Forwarding setup menu. Step 1 information should already be filled in. Proceed to Step 2.

Setting Forwarding Settings for Specific Email Clients

Gmail

1. Copy your EasyChannel Forwarding Address using the provided button.

2. In your Gmail Inbox, click on the settings cog, then select See All Settings.

3. Navigate to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP Tab.

4. Click Add a Forwarding Address and paste the EasyChannel Forwarding Address. Click Next and proceed with the setup.

5. Once set up, use the Get Gmail Code button to verify forwarding address using the link provided.

6. Use the Check Forwarding Button to confirm and then Save.

Outlook

1. Copy your EasyChannel Forwarding Address using the button provided.

2. Access your Outlook Inbox settings.

3. Choose the Mail tab, then the Forwarding section.

4. Enable the Forwarding Toggle and paste the EasyChannel Forwarding Address.

5. Verify forwarding in your Outlook settings from EasyChannel using the Check Email Forwarding button. Make sure the Outlook logo is selected.

Yahoo

1. Copy your EasyChannel Forwarding Address using the button provided.

2. In your Yahoo inbox, navigate to Settings, then Mailboxes.

3. Select the Mailbox you're configuring forwarding for.

4. Paste your EasyChannel Forwarding Address under Forwarding Address and click Verify.

5. Verify forwarding in your Yahoo settings from EasyChannel using the Check Forwarding button. Once you receive the success message, click Save.

Setting up your SMTP connection to send Outgoing Messages

Step 3 enables setting up the SMTP connection to send outgoing messages from EasyChannel. Let's configure it for each major email client below. By selecting our Email provider first, we can prefill out most of the fields for ourselves.

Gmail

1. Ensure your username matches the email address used for forwarding.

2. Search for App Password in your Google Account settings

3. Name your password and paste it into the password field in EasyChannel.

4. Test the connection and save to complete the setup.

Outlook

1. Ensure your username matches the forwarding email address.

2. Generate your app password from your Microsoft account's Security settings.

3. Copy the password and paste it into the EasyChannel password field.

4. Test the connection and save to complete the setup.

Yahoo

1. Ensure your username matches the forwarding email address.

2. Log in to your Yahoo account and navigate to the Security Tab.

3. Choose Generate App Password.

4. Copy the password and paste it into the password field on EasyChannel.

5. Test the connection and save to finish the setup.

Note: Yahoo has disabled App Passwords for all new accounts. If you cannot generate an app password for your Yahoo email, SMTP forwarding setup may not be available for that address at this time.
