When a channel rejects a product, EasyChannel tells you which product failed and shows the channel's error. This article shows where to find listing errors, how to check what was sent, and what common eBay error codes mean.
In this article:
Where do I see listing errors?
Right after you publish, the Product Catalog shows a yellow banner: Last bulk action was completed with 1 errors. Click View Errors.
The product row also shows a badge for the channel you published to, with a colored dot for its status.
Every failed bulk action is also kept in the Error Log. Open Product Catalog > Products Settings > Error Log. Each row shows the action, its result, the date and who ran it. Click Error (1) in the Error Description column to open the details. Use Filter to narrow the list.
How do I read an error?
The Errors description window lists each product that failed:
Column | What it shows |
Date | When the channel rejected the product. |
Internal Error IDs | The error ID and the product's EasyChannel catalog ID. Share them with support if you contact us. |
Account | The store you published to and a link to the mapping template that was used. |
SKU | The product's SKU. |
Error | The channel's message. Click Show More to read all of it. |
At the top, Download Error Report saves the list, Show filtered listings with error opens the failed listings, and the search box finds a SKU or Item ID.
View Sent Data
Click View Sent Data to see exactly what EasyChannel sent to the channel: title, description, photos, price, quantity, item location, policies, category, condition and item specifics. Compare it with the error to find the field the channel didn't accept. It also shows values filled in by AI autofill missing fields, so you can check them.
How to fix?
Click How to fix? to open the How to Fix Listing Error window. It shows the product, the store, a link to the mapping template, the full error, and a How to fix section where EasyChannel prepares a suggestion for this error.
If no suggestion can be prepared, you see We could not prepare a fix for this error right now. Click Try again, or Contact Support Team.
How do I fix the error and publish again?
Read the error and find the field it names. View Sent Data shows the value that was sent.
Fix it where it comes from. Product details such as title, price, photos, condition and item specifics come from the product in your Product Catalog. The item location and other channel settings come from the mapping template, which you can open from the Account column. Listing policies are chosen in the publish window.
Publish the product again. See How to Publish Products to a Channel in EasyChannel.
For a listing that is already live, use Edit Listing, or revise it from the catalog. See How to Revise Listings in EasyChannel.
When the problem is your eBay account, not the listing
Some errors have nothing to do with the product. eBay is blocking the account itself, so changing the title, price or photos won't help. Two messages we have seen with error #240:
Your account is currently limited due to suspicious activity. eBay has put a limit on the seller account.
You're listing your first premium item (500+ USD) for shipping to the US. eBay wants the account to have a dedicated support manager before it lists items over $500.
What to do:
Log in to eBay Seller Hub and look for red warning messages on the Overview page, and in your eBay Messages.
Follow eBay's instructions, or contact eBay to lift the limit.
Publish again only after eBay confirms the account is clear. Publishing again before that gets the same error.
⭐ Testing a new eBay account? Start with a low-priced item. A first listing over $500 can be blocked by eBay.
Other account-level errors:

287 | Log in to Seller Hub for the eBay site you list on (US, UK, AU and so on) and look for red messages asking for information. With a low seller level, eBay may only let you list Auctions until it goes up. |
841 | Manage a different account, or contact eBay to resolve the suspended account. |
21829 | Check Seller Hub for red warning messages and your eBay Messages for account notices. Contact eBay to resolve them. |
